Carter Family reunion #1

Mom, Aunt Wanda, April, Samantha, my kids and I were able to go to the Carter Family Reunion in Denver. It was a long drive to get there!  We woke up at 5 and left from April's house.
It was great to meet my 3 living great uncles.

We visited with relatives I have never met before.

There was another baby there that was wearing the exact  outfit that Samantha was wearing. They were both so cute!
The kids entertained themselves in the sand all day. The both made a few friends.

This is the whole group. It was great to be there.

Family get together

We had a fun week. Carri and April both came to visit. We had a family dinner, went to  the children's museum and the splash pad.

Everyone had a ball! can't wait till next time!

Whallon Sealing

This was a very special day for my family. I was able to go up to the Salt Lake Temple an be a part of the sealing of my grandparents and their children. April, Dave, Samantha, Aubrey, Geoff, Stephanie, Jessie, Leah, Aunt Debbie, Aunt Dianne, Aunt Wanda, Uncle Jerry, Mom, Dad, and I were all there. I was able to be proxy for my grandma in the sealings. It was a wonderful experience!

Funny story about this dress. We were walking to the Temple from the parking lot, and this couple was walking the other way. The man said "That is a beautiful blue dress!" I turned around and said "Thank you!" The rest of the day, April and Dave kept teasing me saying "beautiful blue dress!" It was so funny. I also got 3 or 4 more complements on my dress that day. The funny thing is that when I brought this dress home, Nathan hated it. Haha

After the Sealing, we all visited outside the temple, then went out for ice cream.

It was a great day!

Mesa

We took a trip down to mesa to pick Nathan up from the airport. On the way down, we stopped at Cliff Dwellers and ran around exploring. The kids loved it.
We went to a new park/splash pad in Mesa with Carri and her kids.
We also went with Amos to the Arboretum outside of the valley.

There were a lot of beautiful flowers and plants.

Kolob with Jeremy, Karen and Patrik

We took a few couch surfer friends up to Cave Valley in Kolob. It is one of our favorite places to hike in Kolob. There are iIndian paintings on the cave walls. It is a great place.

We hiked to the top of the hills to see the great view. We sat and had a snack, then took some pictures. It was a great day!
