Multnomah Falls

We spent a Saturday being tourists in Oregon. We went to the Columbia River and threw a lot of rocks. It was very windy. We had fun.

While the kids took a nap we drove the scenic route to Multnomah Falls.

Beautiful!
We hiked to another waterfall first. It was cool.

Then we walked to Multnomah Falls. It was beautiful. There were a lot of people there though. We didn't know it was such a huge tourist attraction. It was cool to see though.

It was a great family day!

Part 2

We drove to the coast with Kristin, Reese, Kjirsten and Rob. We went camping for a night and spent the next day at the beach.

There was a little of this.....

Some yummy food.....

A lot of playing....

And visiting.

Then there was this!

Ahhhh, so nice.

Kristin and Reese

We had a lot of fun with Kristin and Reese. We went to Council Crest Park. The kids ran around and around and around. They had a great time together.

I'm not sure about these kids sometimes.

Emily had a little bit too much fun running around. She got a time out for running too far away.
The park had a great view of 3 cascade peaks. It was a beautiful day.

Every (clear, sunny) day we get to see this amazing mountain. Mount Hood. It is huge and so beautiful. We can also see Mount St. Helens and Mt. Rainier. I am still in awe that we live here. I am used to seeing these mountains in science books. Every time I see them, it shocks me how beautiful and big they are.

We took a trip down to the beach. It was not a great day for the beach. It rained all day long, we still had a good time. We stopped and saw a lighthouse, played in the damp sand, found clams on the rocks, went through a tunnel, and enjoyed the beautiful view. We will have to go back on a warmer day. It was a fun place.
