Our plans

2009 was the year of traveling for us. We took many trips. We drove to Texas, Michigan, Oregon, Arizona (many times), and all over Utah. We made new friends and lost a few loved ones. It was a very busy year. Nathan served as Young men's president, Elder's quorum president, and in cub scouts. I loved serving in the Primary. We love our ward.
We have loved living next to family and are very sad to be leaving. Nathan has decided to go back to school. Oregon Institute of Technology has a degree in Renewable energy engineering. Nathan is so excited. But, before we get to Oregon we are taking a little detour (of sorts). We are going to Phoenix for a week, Houston for 3 months, Georgia for a week, and then to London for a while. It should be a very exciting/hard/amazing/exhausting/fun 6 or 7 months. At least we will miss the winter in Oregon (this year).

Oregon Trip 2009

Oregon was beautiful!

The drive along the coast was windy, without much of a view until we saw this. I just about crashed the car when I turned the corner! Gorgeous!

The sequoias were amazing! Pictures don't do them justice. They are huge beautiful trees!

It was a wonderful trip. It was fun to see Nana and Uncle Jeff. We checked
out OIT and got used to the idea of living in Portland.

Christmas 2009

Christmas was nice and quiet this year.
Jonny had a great time opening presents and his stocking. Emily had a great time eating candy.
We opened presents in the morning, then went to Heath and Kelsey's
for a great breakfast. (Thanks guys!)
We spent the afternoon at mom and dad's house.

Emily was munching on Santa's cookie crumbs.

Santa came down the chimney and ate his cookie, but he forgot to close the fireplace.

Michigan Trip

Our trip to Michigan was full of fun things!
Huge windmills, rain,

Beautiful views,

Silly (but good) kids, corn, fields, corn,

soybeans, and did I mention corn.

We had a great time!

Jonny's fourth birthday

My little boy is four! Four years ago we had a miracle come into our lives. He is the sweetest boy in the world. He loves to read and sing songs. He is a super picky eater, but is a great cook (pretend food of course). He loves to play with legos, and his train track. But most of all he likes to play with his friends, sister, and especially daddy.

For Jonny's birthday, we had a family get together Sunday, we played games, and did a little skit. I made him a truck birthday cake and grandma brought cinnamon rolls. On his birthday-day, Nathan had to be out of town. We opened presents and played with balloons. He had a great day!
Happy fourth birthday Jonny! We love you so much!
